Tarlac State University received its first silver award relative to its 2023 Anti-Red Tape Authority Report Card Survey 2.0 results during the ARTA RCS Awards Ceremony held tonight (October 30) at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.
Out of 860 government agencies, including 150 state universities and colleges surveyed nationwide, TSU was recognized as the second top-performing SUC, achieving a very satisfactory rating of 93.76% in the first cycle of the RCS 2.0 for fiscal year 2023.
This overall rating reflects the university's commitment to service excellence, with scores derived from three key areas: institutionalization of RA 11032, overall survey rating, and external recognition.
The RCS is a tool used by the ARTA that measures and evaluates the implementation of the Citizen's Charter and the quality of service delivered by government offices in compliance with Republic Act No. 11032, also known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
Representing the university at the ceremony were TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, Vice President for Administration Atty. Wilmark J. Ramos, and Anti-Red Tape and Quality Management Unit Head Engr. Maricar N. Banting, who accepted the plaque of recognition on behalf of TSU.
When asked about the award's significance, Engr. Banting emphasized the importance of quality by "always signing your work with quality and service with a heart."
Part of the RCS 2.0 evaluation includes an onsite survey questionnaire (SQ) and an inspection checklist (IC) conducted every three years across government offices.
According to Engr. Banting, People Dynamics Inc., a third-party provider for ARTA, visited several TSU offices during the onsite inspections held last November 2023 and January 2024. (jlmm-OPA)
