Seventeen newly licensed TSUian civil engineers of the April 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination paid a courtesy visit to TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco today (May 14) at the Office of the University President, Main Campus.
According to College of Engineering Dean Dr. Marie Wendy J. Frany, this is the second time the graduates of the civil engineering program's new curriculum recorded a 100% passing rate in the CELE, following the November 2022 boards.
“We hope na ma-sustain ng mga susunod sa inyo 'yung ganitong performance at maging motivation natin ang mga civil engineers na meron tayo sa TSU ngayon. Keep dreaming and do not be satisfied with what you have now – aim for more since bata pa kayo,” Pres. Velasco told the new civil engineers and the faculty members in attendance.
Meanwhile, Engr. Anclaine Isla delivered a message of thanks on behalf of the passers.
“Thank you po lalo na po sa mga professors namin at pati na rin po sa TSU. Hindi po naming mararating ito kung hindi po dahil sa inyo,” she said.
Aside from Pres. Velasco, the passers were also welcomed by Vice President for Research Development and Extension Dr. Murphy P. Mohammed, an attached faculty member of COE under the CE program, COE Associate Dean Engr. Susa Nina A. Sapad, and other CE faculty members.
On April 26, the Professional Regulation Commission released the April 2024 CELE results, wherein TSU posted a 43.04% institutional passing rate with 34 passers against the 39.32% national passing rate. (jlmm-OPA)
