Don Honorio Ventura State University’s School of Law Dean David Robert Aquino handed books he authored under the publishing house, Centralbooks on Friday (June 28) morning at the Office of the University President.
All these books will be donated to the TSU School of Law (SOL) library and more will be donated soon on their next visit.
University president Dr. Arnold Velasco thanked the DHVSU SOL visitors for continuously supporting the TSU SOL and their endeavors in strengthening the legal education.
One of the books donated is the "2024 BAR Syllabi Reader: The Justice Lopez Ponencias" which can be used by graduating students preparing for BAR examinations. TSU is the first university to receive a copy as this has not yet been released in the market.
Some of the other books include "Legal and Judicial Ethics", the first book published following the new syllabus of the Juris Doctor program; and the "State Universities and Colleges- The Governing Board – Powers, Procedures and Pronouncements" authored by CHED Commissioner Dr. Prospero “Popoy” De Vera III, Dr. Enrique Baking, Atty. Cinderella Filipina Benitez-Jaro, and Dean Aquino – which serves as a guide for SUC presidents.
Dean Aquino, a friend of TSU SOL Dean Jose Dela Rama Jr., also authored books together like the "Problem Areas in Legal Ethics (PALE)" and "Problem Areas in Positive Identification and Alibi & the Emerging Role of Forensic Science".
DHVSU SOL Dean was accompanied by Dr. Raniel B. Canlas, Vice president for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension and Executive Assistant to the president, and Ms. Alayne F. Lavarias, incoming 3rd year DHVSU Law student and their Vice president for the Internal Affairs of the Legal Aid Organization.
