Tarlac State University's fourth-year BS Industrial Engineering students engaged in several plant tours within Metro Manila and Bulacan from March 18-21, 2024 as part of the program's curriculum.
The companies visited on the first day included the Manila Bulletin and the Light Rail Transit Authority Line 2.
Meanwhile, the students strengthened their learnings about industry-grade manufacturing practices and quality control processes on the second and third day courtesy of visits at the Columbia Wire and Cable Corporation in Quezon City and the Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc. in Guiguinto, Bulacan.
On the same day, the group also visited Hytec Power Inc., also in Quezon City, whose CEO and President, Engr. Jude Soliman, is a TSU alumnus.
Concluding the plant tour, the future industrial engineers proceeded to Festo Inc. in Parañaque and Gardenia Bakeries in Laguna.
Meanwhile, they also toured around the National Museum of Anthropology and the National Museum of Fine Arts.
