Out of 43 Philippine universities and colleges, Tarlac State University’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI), titled Technological Advancement for Livelihood and Holistic Innovation for Businesses (TALAHIB), placed 7th in the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship-TBI (HEIRIT-TBI) Preparatory Program.
The award was announced in the kick-off ceremony at the World Palace Hotel in Davao City today (June 23, 2022).
HEIRIT-TBI is one of the DOST-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development programs.
Through TBI-TALAHIB, TSU will not only be a valuable tool for accelerating entrepreneurship in Tarlac and its nearby provinces, but it will also continually become relevant and adaptive in the changing times.
The ongoing ceremony is participated by Technology Development, Transfer and Commercialization Office Director Dr. Wilmark J. Ramos, TBI Manager and Unit Head Mr. Aldrex G. Laxamana, and Food Technology and Research Center Production Services Unit Head Engr. Dick S. Tuazon.
Other TBI members who contributed to the project are Ms. Francelle L. Calub (CASS), Ms. Kristine Mae Ipan (COS), Mr. Jaidriel Meg G. Cabanding (URO), and Ms. Myra Salvosa (resident entrepreneur).
