Tarlac State University is awarded with Level IV Institutional Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) earlier today, March 11, 2022, during the awards ceremony of the 35th AACCUP Annual National Conference.
With the theme “Trends and Directions in Accreditation in Pre- and Post- COVID Stretch,” this year’s conference was held in a hybrid format – the limited face-to-face gathering was held at Clark Marriott Hotel in Pampanga, while others attended virtually via Zoom.
TSU subjected itself to AACCUP’s virtual Institutional Accreditation last December 6-10, 2021. This is the third time the university has braved this undertaking. The last visit was held last December 2017 wherein TSU was awarded Level II.
In a message, TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari expressed her gratitude to the university’s Administrative Council members for this most recent quality assurance award.
“Congratulations to all of you! This is your hard work, leadership, and love for TSU!” Pres. Mallari said.
AACCUP also awarded the top five SUCs (State Universities and Colleges) with the most number of accredited programs across all levels and other SUCs who were successful with their institutional accreditation.
The awarding ceremony was led by AACCUP and TSU President Dr. Mallari, AACCUP Executive Director and former President of Western Mindanao State University Dr. Milabel E. Ho, and President of Sultan Kudarat State University Dr. Roland F. Hechanova.
