The department with the help of the Linguistic Society, a college-based student organization of the AB in ELS students, regularly holds a seminar or training every semester. It is a seminar where all AB in ELS students and teachers are required to attend. Prominent speakers from other Higher Education Institutions and the industry are invited to serve as resources speakers. The seminar or training helps both teachers and students alike to update themselves in the field and to enhance their skills in English communication and research.

The “Seminar on Persuasion and the Art of Breaking Resistance In Communication” was held on April 22, 2019 at the Engineering AVR. The resource speakers were Mr. Charles Bryan Bala and Mr. Honey Ramirez from IQOR – Philippines.
Prof. Remy Janda from the Holy Angel University served as the resource speaker during the training on “Effective Public Speaking,” which was held on Dec. 3, 2018 at the TSU Amphitheater
Dr. Jessie S. Barrot from the National University delivered a lecture on “Research Methodology” during the Student Research Conference on April 23, 2018 at the Alumni Center.
